Pay your rent

There are several ways that you can pay your rent and other charges, including:

Direct Debit or Standing Order

If you have a bank or building society account, this is the easiest way to pay. Your rent will be paid from your account, automatically every month. To set up a direct debit or standing order, contact us to request a direct debit mandate form.

Online

You can use a debit or credit card here.

One Stop Shop or Libraries

You will have been given a swipe card at the beginning of your tenancy, and you can use this to pay your rent at any of our One Stop Shops or a local library. If you use your swipe card, there is no minimum payment. If you lose your swipe card, and you need a replacement, call us on 01824 712965 or 01824 702963

Post Office

You will have been given a swipe card at the beginning of your tenancy, and can use this at your local Post Office. If you pay at a Post Office, you must pay in cash and there is a minimum payment of £5. If you lose your swipe card, and you need a replacement, call us on 01824 712965 or 01824 702963

Over the phone

You can use your direct debit or credit card over the phone. When you call us, you will need your rent reference number or swipe card, and we will ask you for your name and address.You can call us on:

  • 24 hour automated payment line 0300 456 2499, or
  • 01824 712963 / 01824 712965 (Monday-Thursday between 9:00am – 5:00pm, Friday between 9:00am – 4:30pm)

By post

You can pay your rent by sending a cheque or postal order made payable to Denbighshire County Council to:

Please include your rent reference number, and your name and address. We will only send you a receipt if you ask for one.

Rent is used to pay for the housing services that we provide and it is important that your rent is paid regularly and on time. In a recent survey, 89% of you said you were satisfied that your rent provides value for money, which is great news.
