New Intergenerational Project Starts in Denbigh

Since January, Ysgol y Parc have been working in partnership with Denbighshire Arts Service, Grŵp Cynefin and Denbighshire Housing to run a weekly bilingual creative arts intergenerational programme at Cysgodfa Communal Room.

Over the last few months the residents and Year 2 pupils have worked with artist Donna Jones and drama practitioner Lowri Owen and have had a lot of fun making new friends and creating!

This term the group who call themselves Create Club, and who meet every Thursday between 1-3pm at Cysgodfa Communal Room, Ruthin Road, Denbigh (behind Dolwen) during term time, will be working with acclaimed actress and author Rhian Cadwaladr and illustrator Abbie Parry to create a story book.

If you are over 50 and are interested in attending the sessions, please contact Emily Reddy at Denbighshire Housing on 07748166360 for further information or contact Grŵp Cynefin Community Initiatives Team on 0300 111 2122.

The project is free of charge and is supported by Denbighshire Housing, Grŵp Cynefin, Ysgol y Parc, Arts Council of Wales and Literature Wales.
